AAARRRRRGGGHH
AGGGGGHHH. I swear, this is a sucky way to look at life, but oh well..... I think god, or the fates, or whatever, PUNISH us when things go too well. And that would be an example of why I don't do so great with the whole church thing. I don't like worshiping someone/something I find to be so punitive. OK...back the truck up, you say? Sure. Yesterday...two people are coming back from vacation, two more coming back from a long weekend. The area was POUNDED by storms all weekend, and the station got seriously hit. MAJOR tech problems. Blown fuses, blown thingamajig doohickeys, you name it. Can people just come back from their vacations and just ease back into normal work? No. Because we must be SEVERELY PUNISHED for any enjoyment we get from life. It would be too much to assume that coming back from a vacation, things would be "normal". That would be wrong. Coming back must be ten times worse than a regular day. Make us all think twice before taking any personal time. Anyway...yesterday was the most crisis filled day we've had in a long time. Somehow, we were overloading a circuit (not a good thing in a radio station), and an electrician had to come out and add another circuit. Before that, entire racks of equipment were dying...and that is just So Bad. We missed tons of recordings, one station kept going off the air...just...ugh. But we're not totally fixed. Oh no. Apparently, a Very Important Piece Of Equipment got fried, and now our demods don't tune automatically. This is most bad. We've already missed one thing. Important Part is being Fedexed, and I'm hoping we can get an engineer in here ASAP to put it in today. So. There we are. Today must be better, even if I do have a dentist's appointment in a little bit...
