Momma was right
Here is a life lesson. Pay attention. NEVER underestimate the importance of a thank you note. Few weeks ago, we were invited to a party at Husband's boss' house. We had a nice time, I bonded a bit with the boss' wife. I wrote a thank you note and sent it within the next day or two. Tonight was an awards dinner for Husband's company. Boss Wife saw me, gave me a big hug and thanked me for the note, because it was "so sweet of me". Now, it can't hurt Husband that his boss' wife loves me, can it? I"m tellin' ya, thank you notes. Take five minutes, and people LOVE EM. Awards dinner was ok. They always make you sit with strangers, which sucks. Husband didn't win anything, which also sucks, tho he did get acknowledged three times by managers, etc. The evening can't go on too long because the COO needs to get his rented soul back to the Devil before midnight..... Meow. So we had snow, and a warm spell, and rain, and now floods. SERIOUS floods. Sucks. Not threatening our home, but blocking off much access to our part of town. I guess I should have been more specific when I said I wanted to live on an island......
