Waaaah chooo

OK. Except for a few touch ups here and there, the damn kitchen is PAINTED. The ladder is no longer in the kitchen.

Of course, here are some pix.....this was taken this afternoon, after Husband put my racks back up.

it's the same color in the nook as in the main kitchen, but it looks different in different light.

Here's one that shows how sharp the wall color and the trim color look together:

The whole thing looks pretty good...definitely better than the beat up old paint job. Of course, it makes the ceiling look really cruddy now. The plan is to put white beadboard up there....I think it will look sharp with the yellow paint.

I managed to catch cold this weekend. Ergh. I have a busy week, and one LONG ASS DAY on tuesday, so I can't be sick. I just emailed my boss and told him I'd like to come in late tomorrow and stay just long enough to do what needs doin' before resting up for Tuesday's marathon.

VERY windy here yesterday. So windy, in fact, that we lost power for 12 hours. Oh yeah. That was fun. At least it wasn't cold. The freaky thing is, there was power across the street, even the street lights on our side of the street were working....but no power to houses for about a two block area. Husband is QUITE the TV addict...can't be in the house without it on. So he was kind of grumbly. He went out and got us some Coleman lights, so we had those on and were playing dominos before we decided it was late enough to go to bed and we wouldn't be waking up at 3 ready to go....

We decided to book tix to go to my cousin's wedding in DC. Yipes. Good price, still a committment. We dinked around long enough that there were no more spots on the non stops, but we still got a good fare. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for good weather....

When's the wedding? Winters here aren't that bad, but we do run into problems with ice.
