Circle of Hell
There oughta be a law. We went to the car show and auction yesterday. Had to park about a mile away in a field...that's fine...this is a HUGE event. We went in, looked at the cars, Husband had a corn dog (he LOVES those), I bought a straw hat for ten bucks. We decided to leave and walked back to the car. And couldn't leave the parking area for AN HOUR AND A HALF. Never. Again. NE-VER. There was ONE exit, and a bunch of kids directing things in the parking lot. We sat in parking lot gridlock for over an hour. UNREAL. There's just so much that was wrong about being in that situation. You don't turn people into fricking HOSTAGES when they are ready to leave your event. It was, however, an interesting psychological study. No one was honking horns, no one was busting out an alternate exit....we just sat there like lemmings. In fact, there did appear to be another exit, but it was roped off. How come no one (us included) had the cojones to go over there, move the rope, and leave? Weird. Made vet apoointment for the sick cat, M. She's not doing much better...hardly eats the baby food, and now she's getting wobbly. I don't want to lose her, but she's going downhill so fast.....I don't know what he'll tell us on Tuesday, or if we'll even bring her home from that appointment. I do know I don't want to put her through any "heroic" measures that will prolong her life but not improve the quality. That's not worth it. Today we've got the Y, and chores, then dinner with my folks. And no work tomorrow! YAY!
