Hard to believe....
You think I'm making this stuff up, don'tcha? Well. After Husband and I got back from shopping, I called work. Wanted to see if ducks were in a row for tomorrow, if I needed to come in, etc. I'm told everything is fine. Yay, think I. I start the spaghetti sauce and plan to enjoy a few hours on a Sunday. So it's halftime of the football game that Husband is watching. It's a rainy, gloomy, dark Sunday afternoon. We are newlyweds. Do the math. The. Phone. Rings. I mean. And no, I did not answer it, but we all know that the ringing and subsequent message being left can, well, mess with one's mojo, to say the least. Christ on a cracker. I can't even enjoy a little connubial bliss with my husband on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Just. Ugh. So...our shopping trip....we headed out to Bed, Bath and Beyond, because I wanted a couple of things....they had airbake cookie sheets on sale, plus pie crust rings were also on sale. Plus lots of other stuff. After that, we went to Best Buy....we got a gift card as a wedding gift, and wanted to check stuff out there. We didn't know how much the gift card was for...figured 25, 30 bucks, the range most of our other gifts fell in. So Husband found a cashier and asked if she could tell us what it was for. Two hundred bucks. Wowzers. How cool is that? Well, how cool WAS that, since we bought ourselves a lovely stereo unit for the bedroom--three CD changer, tuner, cassette deck. Wheee. Sounds fantastic. Small enough that we can move it anyplace if need be. So that was a happy little surprise. My sauce turned out great...so great that I ate SO much....WAY too much, and feel a lot like barfing. I do that with spaghetti, and always have. Dunno what it is, but I'll overeat that stuff till I'm swearing up and down I'll never be hungry again. Husband, bless his heart, brought me some ginger ale, and I have been sipping and burping and feeling a bit better. Schwoo.
