I'm baaack
Got back yesterday afternoon from SW Michigan, where we spent the weekend. It was nice...nice to be away from home, work, etc, and nice to be together without regular life stuff in the way. We didn't really do much...hung out, went to Warren Dunes, had dinner and played cards with friends. I read "Bastard out of Carolina", which was on the shelf at the cottage...good book. What wasn't nice and continues not to be nice is my damn gut. I called yesterday about getting into a clinical trial for a new drug, but there are no test sites near me. That's too bad, because it's getting pretty bad. Beloved is very understanding, thank goodness. But this bad gut is cramping my style and my mojo.... So. Back home, which kind of bums me out...isn't that weird? I did check my email from work...dunno how wise that is or isn't. Now I'm just puttering around, waiting for Beloved to call and tell me the roofing plans for the day. And I have the hiccups now, which I HATE.
